1. CREST Malaysia featured on the Star
CREST was featured on The Star newspaper on Monday 06, June 2022. We were very thankful for the coverage and the appreciation from The Star. Prayerfully CREST and its partners will inspire more individuals and organizations to assist those who are in need. We are thankful for all the support everyone has given to CREST , from volunteers all the way to donors. We believe this belongs to everyone.
2. Reopening of Physical Sunday School
While authorities have given green light to many facilities to resume operations, CREST organized an online public talk about physical Sunday school reopening and good practices to adopt in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our special guest speaker Dr. Amar Singh HSS did a great job at briefing everyone on the Covid-19 as well as practical steps churches can take when reopening Sunday school physically.
3. Training Workshop for Primary School Post Temerloh Flood
Thanks to corporate sectors like Yeos and Gamuda, CREST conducted a participatory workshop in SJK Khee Chee, Temerloh. The engagement with school children from Primary 4-6 was both educational and enriching. CREST and REACH facilitated the interactive workshop in SJK Khee Chee with 200 students on Friday, 23 Jun 2022.
Five groups of twelve pupils were assigned different areas in the school compound. A hazard map was drawn and remedial measures suggested. Overall, it was an enriching activity. It was a two way process where both facilitators and students were astounded with the amount of discussion among the students. When children were given the opportunity to identify danger spots, assess and offer solutions, these young minds were incredibly innovative and refreshing.
A word of appreciation to the headmaster Mr Ang, school teachers & workers and volunteers for making this participatory workshop a great success.
