1b. We also thank Reverend Woo Kit Siang of Segamat Wesley Methodist Church for inviting CREST to share God’s word on the night of 13 July. The following day, the church hosted a 2 hour discussion on setting up a local coordination center (LCC) in Segamat. About 20 church members attended this discussion. We thank God for His wisdom and may His church in Segamat be raised up to be His ambassador of love during crisis.

1c. CREST was invited by the Social Concern Committee, General Conference of the Churches of Methodist Malaysia to present our partnership in crisis. Bishop Ong, Mr Jacob Lee and representatives from Sabah Provisional AC, Sarawak CAC, Sarawak Iban AC & Chinese AC, attended this fruitful meeting. CREST has committed to provide further training to the Methodist group in 2019.

2. Wilderness Survival Search & Rescue.

WISSAR 3 was held at Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest in Hulu Langat on 7 and 8 July. 12 participants had a taste of camping at the fringe of the jungle and living on bare necessities under the watchful eyes of the facilitators. The rainy weather brought added value to the training even though the night jungle walk had to be abandoned half way.
