CREST (Crisis Relief Services and Training Bhd) is a non-profit faith-based humanitarian organisation registered in 1998. Funds for operations and projects come from free-will contributions. (CREST a company limited by guarantee that has no personal shares, specially constituted under the Companies Act 1965).
An intervention aimed at meeting the immediate needs of the victims of a disastrous event.
Once emergency needs have been met and the initial crisis is over, recovery activities include rebuilding infrastructure, health care, and rehabilitation.
Sustainable development activities, such as income generation, building human resources for health and developing policies and practices to avoid similar situations in the future.
Since its establishment in 1998, CREST has trained and sent volunteers from all walks of life to various countries to provide humanitarian assistance in the form of medical aid, food, water, clothing and shelter to victims of natural disasters and crisis situations. Through our same vision partnership, we have reached out to many unreachable groups who often did not receive help from the mainline media.
