Disaster Relief School (DRS)

Course Outline:

 Biblical perspective on disasters;
 Disaster response in earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, floods, famines;
 God's heart for the poor and needy;
 Advance assessment;
 Logistics (advance planning, procurement, warehousing, transportation, distribution);
 Incident command systems;
 Team dynamics in disaster response;
 Wilderness survival skills;
 Base camp set-up;
 Ministering to the traumatised, PTSD, CISD;
 First responders, triage and first aid;
 Engineering in relief work;
 Cross-cultural communications;
 Children's ministry in disaster relief;
 Spiritual warfare in disaster response.
