BASICS ON DISASTER RESPONSE WORKSHOP ^Featured

Dear Friends & Partners,

To enhance capacities of local communities, CREST has embarked on training representatives and leaders in the Asia Pacific region. The humanitarian community needs a pool of dedicated, qualified and experienced dedicated workers who are properly trained and retained to support local communities during the critical phases of a major emergency, disaster or humanitarian crisis.

Our second Basics On Disaster Response Workshop will be held on 24 to 27 October at AnCasa Hotel & Spa Kuala Lumpur.

By completing the workshop, participants will have:
- A greater awareness of good and effective practices used in managing disasters;
- Better co-operation and co-ordination in disaster response;
- Better knowledge to assess a disaster situation and chart the appropriate response;
- Greater awareness of safety issues in the field.

Certificates of participation will be awarded by both CREST and University of Wisconsin Disaster Management Center and participants will earn continuing education units CEU’s acceptable as elective credits towards the UWDMC Diploma.
