1 DAY INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Dear Friends & Partners,

We are excited to inform that Gunnar Simonsen, Digital Media Architect with Humanitarian International Services Group (HISG) will be here to share and teach on the strategic use of Social Media over a 1 day training session.

Facebook and Twitter are commonly used as Social Media tools. However, Gunnar has really tweaked it so effectively that it has gone a long way! Social Media or social networking's scope includes websites, blogs, YouTube, LinkedIn, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Hi5, MySpace, etc ... in fact any platform where there's public access through Internet which will publicize your cause, interests, business, services of your team and partners.

A unique component of what Gunnar is bringing to this training is Applications Technology - how to use Social Media (one or combination) in a way to *M*otivate, *I*nspire, *C*onnect, *E*ducate and *E*mpower.

One excellent example is how Gunnar shared the need to help Libyans caught in the crossfire by raising funds while located in Portland USA. Through Social Media, in 6 short days, a concept became an 18-track audio CD and was finally released on the Internet! When someone responses to download and pays for the track, this money goes to raising funds and aid for displaced Libyans! Watch these 2 Australian musicians (D C Cardwell & Victor Stranges) at http://youtu.be/Y4bbw0Lk9tI  who responded to that Cause that Gunnar communicated through Social Media. Could you and your partners use Social Media as a tool to leverage your Cause too? You can watch Gunnar sharing on Music for Libya at http://youtu.be/E5tCEyDY9H0

You can sign up for this training by completing the attached form and returning it to CREST office or logon to our website for online registration. The course fee of RM20 includes coffee and lunch.
