CREST responded to the IDP crisis in north west Pakistan by partnering with local NGOs to provide cooking utensils and food packages to meet the top 2 needs of families in Charsadda and Haripur. On June 25 and 26, a total of 75 sets of cooking utensils and 200 packs of food was distributed among the lDPs in Haripur and Camp No. 1 and Camp No. 2 in Charsadda.

	2009-07-01 CREST responded to the IDP crisis in north west Pakistan by partnering with local NGOs to provide cooking utensils and food packages to meet the top 2 needs of families in Charsadda and Haripur. On June 25 and 26, a total of 75 sets of cooking utensils and 200 packs of food was distributed among the lDPs in Haripur and Camp No. 1 and Camp No. 2 in Charsadda.
	2009-05-06 On 19 to 26 April 2009, CREST visited some of the sites which bore the brunt of Cyclone Nargis. One year on, one-fifth of the homes destroyed are still covered under tarpaulin sheets. The rural areas hardest hit by the storm have seen very little recovery taking place. CREST has put off plans to conclude the funding of recovery and rehabilitation projects and is committed to continue to provide support to improve the services of the community centres catering to the needs of women and young children.
	2009-02-20 CREST staff and volunteers went into the hard-to-reach villages affected by the recent floods and identified some areas of need where your help can become their hope. So far, the villagers have received only 5kg rice and 2 cans of sardines per family. The recce team managed to deliver more food to them but more has to be done.

	2008-11-24 CREST celebrated her 10th Anniversary with a fund raising dinner on 16 Nov at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa.
	2008-09-30 CREST Executive Director went into the Ayeyarwaddy delta for post-Nargis evaluation and adopted a 3-prong approach to the recovery and reconstruction work.
	2008-08-01 Participants from 8 countries spent 6 days at the recent Disaster Relief School held in MBS Kundang.
	2008-07-04 4 containers of food supplies, drinking water, nutritional supplements, baby feeding bottles, new clothes, soap, feminine napkins, tarpaulin sheets, water pumps and generators was sent from Malaysia. 7,723 families were recipients of goods.
