Disaster Relief School 

It was a wonderful 6-day school. The trainers were veterans in the field, very experienced and sharing from the wealth of their knowledge and the generosity of their hearts. The students were most receptive and greatly enriched. We brought together 14 trainers and 26 trainees covering broad but essential topics and the interaction was excellent.

The Malaysian Civil Defence Department sent a team of 4 men with their rescue boat to train on water rescue. Just one day before, their colleagues had been called to action at the Port Klang ferry disaster where many of the victims lost their lives. It brought home the message - be prepared, be empowered and be ready.
